You do not need a referral to be seen. If you have a valid referral you may also be eligible for a Medicare rebate. Please note, we are not a bulk billing service. Most appointments will incur an out of pocket cost. *A provisional psychologist is registered and working under the supervision of a senior psychologist while completing the supervised practice required for general registration. Medicare rebates are not available for these sessions, which is why the fee is lower.
Assessment pricing
Assessments are billed at $255 per clinician hour. The total is fixed on the standard number of hours each assessment takes, so you know the full cost before you begin.
| Assessment | Clinician hours | Total cost | Deposit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Autism (child or adult) | 10 hours | $2,550 | $255 |
| ADHD (child or adult) | 8 hours | $2,040 | $255 |
| Autism and ADHD (child or adult) | 12 hours | $3,060 | $510 |
| Cognitive assessment | 6 hours | $1,530 | $255 |
| Learning assessment | 10 hours | $2,550 | $255 |
The total covers all clinician time: preparation, the sessions themselves, scoring, interpretation and writing your report. The deposit is collected before your first session, and the balance is invoiced as your booked sessions are completed.
Ways to fund an assessment
Private
The full cost is invoiced directly to you. A deposit is collected before your first session and the balance is invoiced as sessions are completed. Payment plans may be available, so please ask during your Planning Call.
Medicare
Rebates are available with a valid paediatrician referral (items 110 to 131, or the telehealth equivalents). Up to four allied health sessions a year may be claimable. Medicare rebates partly offset the total. They do not cover the full fee.
NDIS
Cognitive assessments may be claimable under Capacity Building. We invoice your plan manager, or you directly if you are self managed. There may be a small out of pocket expense, because NDIS funded hours and assessment billed hours can differ.
Third party
We accept approved organisations, with agreement or referral from the organisation. A confirmed purchase order or written approval is needed before booking.
Cancelling or rescheduling an assessment
We ask for as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule. Because it is difficult for another client to take an assessment session at short notice, the cancellation fee for assessment sessions is the full session fee when we receive less than one business week of notice. Exceptional circumstances are always considered.
Fees are current from 1 July 2026 and may change. Please confirm current pricing, availability and funding arrangements with our team before booking.
